Building Memories (BM) uses personal experiences and relates them to topics of importance to building.
This BM explores a sustainable exhibit at the Chicago Botanic Garden.
I didn’t have to travel far to find this innovative and sustainable building method. By using living plants as the primary building material and guiding their growth around a supporting substructure, perhaps a wire mesh, it creates what looks like a Star Wars–style village fit for Ewoks. I’m not sure I’d want to live there myself, but it certainly sparks the imagination about how we might better integrate nature into our built environment.
